dj FlAvEr
Raised in the raw energy of the 1990s Los Angeles underground, DJ Flaver is a product of backyard parties, warehouse nights, and crate-digging culture. Best known for his impact on the L.A. hard house scene and his vinyl remix of the Game Boy Tetris theme, Flaver represents an era when DJs earned respect through records, not algorithms.
His journey took a pivotal turn when Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Richard Vission discovered him and invited him to appear on Powertools, the longest-running underground house music mix show in Los Angeles, broadcast on KPWR 105.9 FM. One show was all it took — DJ Flaver was suddenly performing across Southern California and beyond.
That momentum led to long-term residencies, additional radio appearances, and multiple vinyl releases with respected underground labels including Underground Construction (Chicago), Abstract Music, Musik Faktory, and various mixed compilations. Built on wax and technique, his reputation was earned in the booth, not online.
DJ Flaver has shared the stage with numerous artists and continues to evolve while staying rooted in analog culture. Today, he remains highly active in clubs, mobile DJ engagements, and private and public events, bridging classic vinyl discipline with modern technology.
Under the Strictly Vinyl Addikts banner, DJ Flaver preserves the spirit of an era when house music was felt, not filtered. He currently streams on Twitch and TikTok and is a bilingual, open-format DJ with a deep understanding of musical diversity, crowd energy, and timeless sound.
